So I did an overhaul on our C44AW dishwasher and after putting it back into service I noticed that the exhaust smells rich.

I had adjusted the gas solenoid valve in the past 6 months after it was misfiring and had it adjusted to factory specifications.

I will verify it is still good but I wanted to check if there is something else I should be looking for as well, outside of the gas solenoid valve.

I did turn off the gas as I dont want there to be any issues with the unit running as stated above.

You can’t tell by “Smell” with gas combustion. Use a combustion analyzer to verify your concerns. What you smell may be foreign material or a coating on the inside of the combustion chamber.

      That could be the case.

When the gas is turned on there is no smell. Only when the machine is producing exhaust.

    Is the exhaust hood working?

It sure is. That was one of my first thoughts.

Being the combustion chamber is submerged, It could also be water treatment chemicals coming out of the water from heating. Like Floride and chlorine.

So, I still have not resolve the original issue.

    However something more pressing.

The conveyor motor after running for approx 1.5 sec shuts itself off.

I cannot find anything in the manual outside of it saying the conveyor motor has an anti-jam switch which will stop the conveyor motor from running and shut it down.

Where would be said switch and how would I verify that it is said switch?

I believe that the conveyor motor has a ring around it which is magnetic and there is a contact that senses it turning. Is this the switch?

Sounds more like a overload inside the motor. Check your gearbox oil and for excess friction of the conveyor.

This is a brand new from factory conveyor motor, just installed last week and it has been running fine until last night.

I saw that the sensor was touching the conveyor motor and moved it a bit farther away and it was working totally fine for approx 45min. Then it started acting up again.

I am starting to believe it is a bad sensor.

    Yes and yes.

It was running for approx 1 week before we started having issues with the machine.

The motor runs for approx 1.5 seconds before it stops. The control board illuminates the jam LED when this happens. There is no jam.

I can move the motor with my conveyor with my bare hands when power is disengaged.
