Convotherm ogs-6.20 throws a E03.0 overtemp motor error. From a cold start. What could cause this other than a bad motor? Could it be a bad sensor? Thanks

Look at the lights on the AC Drive, one should be green and the other flashing green during normal state.

High limits are related the error code so look for those.

email : ConvothermSVC@welbilt.com with a mode and serial and get a wiring diagram.

There’s one flashing light on the ac drive. If I select an item on press and go menu, it’s throws the code. I press the green check then unit tries to start. Hot air burner assembly powers up, ignitor lights, and as soon as flame lights, it shuts down. The M1 convection motor does not power up. F10 fuse reading good

If it’s tripping immediately, then the safety in the motor circuit is open. Or the wiring from it. It is embedded inside the motor windings. Ohm the temp safety out from the controller end.

When I ohm the overtemp at x11 on the control board, I show open line. So it’s normally closed, and open indicates motor is bad? Or could it be a bad fault relay on the AC drive? Thank you for your help. Only experience on these units is changing ignitors and flame sensors

The AC drive light on the left is not on and the one on the right is blinking dimly. What does that tell me? Bad drive? Thanks for the help.

Bad motor wouldn’t be a sensor in that type. Built inside the motor will continue to throw over and over.

Got a new AC motor drive in to replace the old. One on the top(wires connected) is the old and other is new. They are not the same. Is it a replacement and needs installed differently from the old? Thanks

My mistake was not enough searching. On the partstown parts manual for the ogs-6.20, the control panel assembly parts breakdown only shows the 300412. Further down they do break the two ac drives down according to date. I did not see that initially. Also, they list the 300925 in the ladder diagram, but no mention of the 300412 there, which is the newer version. You’d think both would be mentioned by date at every location. Anyway, doesn’t matter now. Got the new part on the way. Again, thanks
