Posted by ectofix on March 13, 2020 at 6:02 pm

Ever since the big “update’ several weeks ago, dates & times shown in RECENT DISCUSSIONS has been way out off kilter.

The extent of the problem has varied.

    • Sometimes it displays a thread showing a relatively new update, but opening it doesn’t reveal it. Then I’ll refresh it and THEN the new reply pops up.
    • Other times, (once again) it shows there’s a recent reply (for instance: just several hours old), but no matter what I do, the thread won’t show anything other than what was posted DAYS ago.

So, something to look in to.

Wonder if Daylight savings time is a factor. Not everyone is using it and a wish we didn’t.

No, can’t be related to that.

It’s just that, occasionally, the RECENT DISCUSSIONS red block to the right will hint at a new reply per how many hours/minutes ago it happened. Then, I’ll click on that thread and the reply simply isn’t there.

This doesn’t happen all the time. It’s a random problem.

    Has anyone else observed this?

The only thing I’ve had a problem with is that at times I don’t get the post/subscribe tab. Even though I’m logged in. I have to shut the browser and reopen it.

    Thanks, Mayor.

FWIW: Here’s a snapshot of the most extreme version of what I’m talking about:

Maybe it’s because you might be working on it, but when I keep coming back to this particular thread, it doesn’t change. Even after my new post at 6:32pm. The RECENT DISCUSSIONS window still shows the most recent update was over two months ago.

Ectofix – the Recent Discussions on this topic page

is displaying a different list of topics than the home

page. Is that what you mean?

LOL! Then 386 and 486. I actually remember that period. They don’t speak that language anymore.

I’m NO computer geek, so all I can do is what I’ve done.

Lizzy, the recent discussion box has gone to showing stuff that’s 2 months old instead of the late post’s. I sent a screen grab to the mayor earlier today.

This is from 12:45 Eastern Daylight
