I’ve had my rounds with Health inspectors, Ag & Markets, Meat, Electric, Transportation, Civil engineers, and Municipal code .  It’s the way you approach them and ask questions.  If you have documentation to back up you position they will usually back down.  Or throw up there hands and say go ahead.  Sometimes principle is more important than cost.  All Codes, Directives, and law’s have conflict and are open to interpretation..  That’s why we have courts. So common sense can prevail.  First learned that in Vietnam when a Navy Lt. tried to have me court marshaled.  When it was all said in done, he got his a**  handed to him.

Can’t remember if it was Coke or Pepsi,

But there was a Buffalo Wild Wings remodel recently, and the local health inspector made Coke put casters on the soda dispensers, and coil up spare tubing behind them. That way you could roll them out to clean behind them.
