have a kolpak door on our freezer ser 5349696a rh seal is extremely hot
we have a kolpak door on our freezer and the seal gets to hot it could burn you. just wanting to know if the seal is going bad or what.

That is normal for a freezer munion heater.  It has to be so that you can open the door. Notice that the hot part is centered in the munion, but there has to be enough heat to the edges to quickly melt ice and evaporate water. If you think it is to hot, often they have a variable resitor next to the door. Get a infrared thermometer and measure.
