Frymaster 8SMSSC Pasta Magic – Error 20
Ive got a Frymaster 8SMSSC Pasta Magic. When I turn it on I get a continuous alarm and the code “20”. I can’t do anything and can’t clear it. I’ve searched everywhere and had three engineers look at it. I’ve found that E20 has something to do with a interruption when downloading software but that is for a different machine and mine just says 20!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A bit of detail would help. When you turn it on, does it fill with water? Is the skimmer working? They are made to not do anything till there is water sensed at the water probe in the tank. Has that probe been damaged? Remove the protection cover and clean the probes. I’d check the temp probe for resistance at this point to.
Is the basket lift in the correct position? They sometimes bind if the Lubriplate grease on the rod is missing. Or if the rod gets bent. If so, check the lift fuse. The only other thing I can think of is the high limit switch. Other that that I would unplug the connectors and replug them.
