  • Frymaster FQ Burner Replacement Issues

Been struggling to replace a burner on a Frymaster 2FQG30U0ZQTZZNG. I can slide the burner in without the gasket, but I notice there is zero tolerance between the frame rails and the burner, even with the top of the frame loosened but pushed up as far as it will go, making it impossible to get the new burner with gasket in the frame. Has anyone run into this, and is there a remedy?

You’ve gotten into a miserable situation. I believe you have to remove the top burner retainer, clean all the old gasketing, Then replace the burner and top clamp. It’s hard to get the back fully clean so that the burner is in all the way. Especially hard to get the gaskets where they belong. You may want to evaluate pulling the pot, then installing the burner. I’m not a lover of the IR’s

Are you sliding it in from the back? You may have to put a little force behind it to get it to slide in.

      I don’t think so!

This is a IR burner that has to have gaskets all the way around the face.
