Try posting your pictures again.  All I see is a black BASO dual valve with wires and gas lines connected to it.  I’m guessing the one you’re wanting to replace.

That’s the original main valve part number 098443

Problem is that it was replaced by Z098443  Still a Baso, what is different?  Unfortunately Partstown doesn’t picture this one.  There is a second single Baso on some models back in farther that is Z099906.

This is what it should look like

This is the part that was sent that does not fit.  I need the Main gas valve on the Pic that I originally sent. Thank you

Should work,  why doesn’t it fit?

You may have to move the pilot line location or the corrugated stainless one a bit, but if the direction is right it should be alright.

Yeah, I don’t get it, what’s the problem?

It might be that the O.G is no longer available and this is the replacement.

So you might just have to make it fit.

    Edit:

I checked, the O.G is no longer available, you’ll have to make it fit, it’s the new OEM part so that’s all anyone’s going to get until it goes obsolete again.

The Basotrol model # is the same on both valve assemblies.  G96HGA-17 on the labels.

That’s as “correct” a valve as you’re going to get.

    Cool.

I mean, in terms of the gas valve, it is what it is.

If it don’t fit, make it fit.

If it don’t work, then whoever installed is screwing up because it should work.

Your customer is replacing a gas valve?

    Hi Gents!

Here is the reply from my customer on the Gas Valve.

“Yes, It fits just fine. The problem we are having is the pilot is weak, showing yellow flame instead of blue, and the exchanger is filling up with gas before it lights up., then when it dies ignite, it ‘Booms’ and shuts down. Groen Tech Support said it was a gas valve problem, and when I told him the problem we were having, he said that it is a gas valve problem, which led to him telling me it was not their valve.”
