Does this valve has a trial stage or like a 2 step function? Opens 1 port for the pilot to make sure it’s good and then when proven, 2nd port opens to full heat?

His problem is the pilot.  Whether it is the orifice, pilot assembly or adjustment, I can’t say without checking it.  He he may not belong servicing gas if he doesn’t know how to adjust or check a pilot.

    answer from customer:

Yes it does. However, instead of having a relay delay the power to the ignition module, the run the functions through a series of relays, that turn the pilot on instantly which proves flame, but then the ignition of the main valve is interrupted until the tank water reaches the High and Low water sensors. Then it enable’s the main valve to start the heating cycle. This is completely out of character with the ‘Stand Alone’ capability of the ignition module. They should have just interrupted the power to the module, and allow the module to do its thing once the water level in the tank reaches the sensors,

Whoa,  This is totally different of a question than the original.  We don’t have a accurate serial number, as the one provided doesn’t come up.  Irregardless  This manual comes up for this machine,

And the wiring for it shows that the There is a pilot shut down and a computer in out control of the main burner.  So is the main burner not firing , or is the pilot also going out.  Replacing parts without proper troubleshooting is always a expensive and unreliable way to go about repairs.   Give us the accrual symptoms and visual indicators and we can help you find the real problem.   Without buying excessive parts and time changing them.  But we need accurate and true information.

Could be a gas volume problem. Check dynamic gas pressure. If it drops lower than rated when main burner fires, you most likely have a regulator problem. That’s where I’d clean the vent cap and test again.

Okay, so what’s the problem now?

Originally the valve didn’t fit, now it doesen’t work. so what’s not happening?

Is the flame coming on and dying or not coming on at all or what?
