    Hello,

I’ve working on this very old mixer for a week. Can some tell me how to remove the planetary shaft? The sleeve at the bottom is seized in place. The lower clutch gear move up with the shaft about 3/16” too 5/16” . I BELIVE THE SLEEVE WILL NOT MOVE UP TO TIGHTEN THE SHAFT IN PLACE WKEN THE AGITATOR IS INSTALLED. SO i’m stuck !!! Any help would be appreciated

    thanks

    Ken

The planetary shaft is held in by a snap ring inside the planetary gear box. You have to drain the box and unbolt the planetary ring and drop as a unit. Same to pull the main shaft, that one has a acorn nut, lock nut, and a fiber washer above the gear that turns the planetary.
