I’m having a problem troubleshooting a pw20 Hobart dishwasher. The issue is when you turn it on and when it goes into “Fill mode” it doesn’t fill correctly. The top portion of the washer fills but the bottom doesn’t and it just stays on “fill mode”. The only troubleshooting guides I can find for not filling correctly just says to check the incoming water for obstructions but I know incoming water is good due to the top filling and after you hit the power button to shut it off it goes from the “fill mode” to a regular drain cycle and shoots water up from the bottom for rinsing so once again I know there are no obstructions. Any help or advice would be appreciated, also there are a lot of parts that make this thing run and I’m unfamiliar with the equipment so if you suggest checking a sensor or chainring something I would really be thankful if you could be specific as to where it might be located to help me find it. Thank you guys in advance.

    Please confirm this is a a PW20, Not a PW20eR or PWV

Does this pre-wash unit have 2 tanks? If so, it may have 3 solenoid valves. One for each tank and one for rinse. If a fill solenoid is not opening, no water.

I believe that they use a water level pressure diaphragm for sensing tank full. It will be at a level above the water line outside the tank with a tubing to the tank. They do get gunk in the line. I think this is the one used: Hobart 00-563609 SENSOR | Parts Town

I believe that the gray one is a filter and mounts on the tank R/S near the right pump. Then the line goes up to the top area of the control panel. Note it has a push bulkhead mount.

    Just a moment...
