That has been a long time coming.  I wonder why ITW has changed their position on this.

I’m sure a lot of techs will greatly appreciate having access to these. Thanks for sharing!

Just saw this. I emailed hobart a few weeks back about getting a copy of a service manual for my dishwasher which I was having trouble with and after a day I received an email back with an attachment which happened to be the service manual for my washer.

Attached is mine. If anyone runs into issues with it, it may come in handy.

Is this part of the “Right to repair” laws that are being pasted?

I’m thinking so. Someone else here had brought it up some time back, then I watched a webinar at Appliantology.org where it’s discussed.

@Nafets47‘s acquisition of the service manual he’s shared here (just by emailing Hobart) prompted us to do likewise. I’m waiting for them to fulfill OUR request for manuals. We were told it would take several weeks. After that several weeks, they left us a phone message (without our asking) to say they’re still working on it, but the amount of data we require is causing the delay.

We have sixteen Hobart dish-machines, so…I understand.

Makes ya wonder if manufacturers like Taylor, Electrolux and others will follow suit.

I’ve had my share of run in’s with Taylor, Hobart and a refrigeration display company that I won’t mention. I when to their manufacturing facility near me and walked in the door. Was a amazing experience as they not only gave me the information I needed, But also all parts to make the customer happy. At no charge. AND, they told me to come back any time I needed them. To bad they glomed up by a bigger company and they closed the Johnston plant. Originally Mohawk coolers. There are still original Mohawks in service here from the early and mid fifties. That’s how well built they were.

That’s awesome, it used to be tough to get your hands on any worthwhile information from Hobart.

Still is, but they have loosened it a bit on the mixers.

WELL, I’m a bit disappointed. I was expecting full-fledged SERVICE MANUALS on our dishwashers (LXi, AM15, UW50, CLe-line, FT900). THAT didn’t happen. Either our local Hobart rep didn’t understand what we’d asked for, or manuals they will be making publicly available for newish equipment will be edited WAY down.

What we were given are something along the lines of their service bulletin from 2008 (see my attachment below). About the only things useful I got were schematics and troubleshooting/error code tables.

We WILL use those, I’m sure. However, I know of MANY things in actual service manuals that I’m lacking.

    That is disappointing.

The one I received was not fantastic. But was alright.

The CLe that you are mentioning in your post is available on eBay if you are interested in paying for it.
