    Right or wrong you get what you pay for. At the property I work at there is several hotels and each has a refrigerator. They each cost approx $150 and I get 1-2 years out of them if they run full time every 5 months I get another order of 15 and replace them out in that same block of time.

    This doesn’t answer your question directly and since I haven’t worked on one I cant. But I have found that piece of data generally universal in this business.

    It all depends on what component’s they use to make them. Compressor make and model, air handler design and fans, Refrigerant metering system. It’s a very small compressor, and the working temp is very hard on them if designed wrong. If it has a cap tube metering and muffin fans to move air, life will be relatively short. Look for Embarco or Tecumseh compressor. Not Secor or LG
