Called in to look at the ice machine. The unit was in the off position but water was still dripping out of the flow valve. Took the valve apart to see if there was any debris in it and it was clean. Put everything back together and put it in clean mode to force the valve to open. No water. I am going to assume that its the water valve as when I put the unit back into run mode I get a double red flash on sl2 and it wont go any further. I have tested the water probe and it lights up on the board when touched and when I added water to the pan. I tested the thickness sensor as well but not 100% sure on it. It does light up on the board but the sensor is in need of a cleaning. Any suggestions or advice? Model#SD0452A Ser#110653022 This unit does not have the self testing board on it

First, the machine has to have water. So, check for water filtration to be present. And the valve to be open. Does it flow? Is it between 20 and 80 psi? Unfortunately, it’s a bit difficult on the older S models to get into the compressor compartment to the water valve. But you can unplug and ohm test from the high voltage Molnex plug. Pin 1 should be the water valve and test to nuetral, pin 4
