    SGL 40-T1 will not work on low . Pilot works for both settings ; gas valve, ignition module, thermostat and switch are new.

    In high the unit provides power directly to the gas valve, bypassing the thermostat. In low the power goes to the mercury switch and thermostat. Check your thermostat.
