I have a Vollrath Cayenne TSI7001 panini press that has lost tension. I am assuming there is a spring or something somewhere..?? Theres the bar that goes down into the machine from the top but I think that is just wiring for heat. Please advise..

The axel that the handle is mounted on has a spring under the cover with a pin. Look’s like this

    Vollrath XTSI2018 HANDLE SPRING TSI7001/TSI8002

Wether the pin came out or broke, or the spring broke can only be determined after opening it up.

I found the error. They logged the manuals under the item number instead of model. Odd.

The parts manual i previously provided is correct and here is the operation one.
