(SCC61E – Electric) Which Gasket?

(CAUTION- remember to Isolate and Test before work! and use correct PPE -)

– Level Sensor gasket is pretty obvious – just 4 bolts – but I'd suggest you replace the level probes too – this is a common maintenance replacement!

– if its the Electric Heater Element Gasket – then you will need to remove the boiler! (see below)

– If its the 2″ (50mm) Steam hose at the top, then you'll need to remove the boiler! (see below)

How To: “Remove the SCC61E Boiler”

Drain – and remove SC pump

Disconn – elements at SSR

Remove – Temp Probe and Safety Thermostat

Disconn – Hoses (various)

Remove 2 Mounting Nuts (10mm)

Then using a 1/4″ socket set with 9mm? tube socket remove the hose clamps on the 50mm Steam Hose at Top of Boiler – you will need to use some force to pull the boiler out, and probably break the hose in the process – there is a new version Hose out now – though you can buy hi-quality Steam rated hose from a Hydraulic Hose Store if needed asap.

Then reverse procedure…
