Not sure if the unit you are working on or not has a harvest assist. You might want to look into that . I would also look at the evaporator plates and see if they are separating from the tubes or if dividers are coming loose

There used to be a Test, balance and commissioning app but with new Ios update I have lost it. I use align calc app for pump alignments, I use the Testo app for bluetooth devices , Johnstone supplies, CE carrier enterprises, URI, Bitzer PT chart , I do mainly large commercial and industrial service work so I don't do much restaurant service work any more but have several Techs that do.

Standard push in receptacle. The issue is furnace is throwing polarity fault. It has something to do with either not being true sine wave or PWM or generator not being grounded. I am asking this on be half of a friend I was not on site personally . So everything is second hand knowledge

After doing some research for it appears that i need 13 to 16 KW generator. Which would cost me about 6 to 7 grand . Has any body else have whole generators and are they worth the price ( maintenance , warranty and reliability )?

I have Testo bluetooth instruments and they are satisfactory. they serve a purpose but are not the go to tool all the time . I still use analog and standard digitial tools most of the time . problem with Testo is the blue tooth range .

I personally do not care for fieldpiece leads . I had an issue one time where there was a bare spot in insulation when working on 480 volt step down transformer and lead went to ground and POW!! and I dang near crap my pants. The insulation on fieldpiece leads is to soft and breaks down to easy. I prefer Fluke test leads and will spend the extra money to insure that I am safe.

Ok I might have mis informed you on this. The Generator has power on both prongs of outlet which is a total of 120 volts. The furnaces control board sees a voltage polarity issue and will not operate the Ignition sequence. This is not for me personally. I believe the generator my friend was using was not and invertor style generator just a cheap portable 120 volt generator which was most likely not grounded . I have studied this and I have not found a solution to this problem. I know its most likely due to not a true sign wave and PWM. Other than that I was not there personally . Was wondering is there a noise filter of or devise that would correct this issue.

When purchasing a generator what do i need to look for . If I hook a portable generator to my furnace i have a polarity issue sense generator does not use a neutral leg on the 120 volt outlet . It produces 60 volts on each side of the outlet and between the 2 i have 120 volts. If i get a generator that has 230 volts and hook into hole house application will this still be an issue? Do i need to purchase a generator that is an invertor for clean voltage?
