econofloss will not heat despite new element
cotton candy gm econofloss will not heat…..new element….any ideas/ said to check brushes…..how do I get at em…..new to this….thanks

Brushes? As in motor brushes for a DC motor? That shouldn’t have much to do with the heating.

Floss units generally have brush sets that transfer the current from the transformer to the rotating melt head. Look for stuck brushes from sugar. Remove and clean with water.

Right below the spinner head there are two curved plates to inspect the brushes. Between the plates are two black phenolic brush holders fastened.
