Home Forums Archives I have a Globe 2750 slicer and would like to know what size socket is required to remove the glo 747-8 shaft nut from the blade shaft.  It’s on the opposite end of the cutting blade and looks like it may need to be a thin-wall socket.

I can’t remember if it was a 11/16 or 7/8 socket,  But I do remember it had to be a Snap-On 3/8 drive deep for the clearance.  Snap- On’s are a thinner wall for clearance and a stronger alloy for strength as well as being broached for strength and safety. Use a vernier caliper to measure it. Today it will be 20 some mm.
