Set screws can be so aggravating because they think they’re special….which they CAN be….

C’mon now. You should know how this goes. Model of equipment?

On Partstown, I see NO overlap between that kit and those set screws you posted.

    Try calling them at (630) 462- 8800, or….

Model is there in the first post 297-t12phh and tech Iwork with found the part number for the “gear pin” as they call it. Wasn’t 100% sure that is the same gear pin I needed. Doesn’t show on parts breakdown.

It shows in the parts breakdown as a 76-165, but comes up obsolete. However, they made 5 different gear sets for different timing from 12 seconds to 55 seconds. And the same gears are others in there line. You may want to check out this set of screws.

If you go to the linc and then down to the bottom it will list what it fits. 297’s are listed

I don’t know if they sell just the set screw, I worked on one similar to that recently and ended up buying the conveyor kit and the drive gear. Fortunately they weren’t that expensive. May not be worth spinning your wheels trying to locate it. Pass the cost on to your customer and replace the gear, or let them keep it as a spare part. If I remember right, it was an odd set screw. I thought it was a drive pin at first glance.

Yeah…. so several issues with the unit and did relacethe thermostat, the unit constantly trips GFCI (caused by what I believe to be the butter from the roller getting into the platen $1100 I think just for the platen).I mean i could keep going about what it needs. With all the issues the truthfully would be better off Buying new but I couldn’t convince them. So at this point if I can get a gear screw and spend $10 vs another $130 just to get them by well that’s where I am at.

Be aware that there is more than one GFI available. 3 and 5 milliamp are the common household ones. But 7, 8, are available. Some of the older DC motor dive units were tough on GFIC. Also make sure there is no connection within the machine from Neutral and Ground.

Update on the gear screw. The part 197-279SEA resolved the issue.

Both prince castle and partstown (which I believe to be the same “tech support” said the pin could not be purchased individually. So a $4 gear pin saved the customer $160ish.
