yeah, poor power quality is something to be aware of for most things nowadays, but this phenomenon is frequent across 80% of Walk-In System installs in the past 2 year or so. its cray cray!
Worst part is, say i bought the epmnt from United, 2 months later motor goes out, they dont have the darn motor, fan blade or the bracket in stock…. Total WTF

Right, it’s not a CSCR. It’s CSIR, like most refrigeration compressors. the start leg should not draw amperage.

Yes, couple compression fittings swap adapters over and pop it back in.

Sound like a jam switch or motor cutting out. If it’s not mechanical issues causing the trouble.

Should be 35 in box, but it’s at 55-60f.

Txv for each evap. Not a rack, sled in its own compartment. Custom self contain drawer cooler

Another tech and I have been through this machine several times and have found no cause to the freeze up.

I mean freeze up as, all the evaporators build ice 2-3 inches thick. Leaves no codes and shows no problems when corrected and tested. 32min freeze and 3min harvest.

Just dawned on me though that it could be a control board malfunction, sticking relay or faulty logic from a bad resistor. Next time I’ll have to remove the board and inspect it.

Got a schematic, I’m thinking high limit on the heaters, possible relay sticking? 🧐

I’ve found checking the transformer output to the input to verify wether it is in phase or not can solve the flame sensing problem. When you probe the hotsupply leg to the hot transformer leg you’ll get 90ish meaning it’s in phase and good, if you get 150ish means it’s out of phase and the waveforms will create noise in the circuit that will negate the flame current.
