Garland SIT Control Adjustment & Replacement

Most of Garland's world-class griddles and ovens use SIT controls to help regulate temperature. Authorized technicians need to know how to repair this component properly, so the unit continues operating properly and other parts inside don't get damaged. That's why it's important to know the proper instructions for Garland SIT control adjustment and replacement.

Adjusting & Replacing Garland Griddle SIT Control

The following video walks you through each step when removing and replacing the griddle's control, which includes:

  • Removing the control panel and knobs
  • Accessing the capillary and removing the clamp hold-down box
  • Removing the solid-pipe gas line from the manifold and flexible gas line from the burner
  • Removing the pilot assembly and capillary
  • Removing flex and hard line
  • Inserting the new control and reattaching removed components

Adjusting & Replacing Garland Oven SIT Control

The following video walks you through each step when removing and replacing the oven's SIT control, which includes:

  • Removing the burner grates
  • Removing the control panel and knobs
  • Removing the top SIT control cover
  • Removing the left and right SIT control covers
  • Removing the burner and manifold gas lines
  • Removing the fitting from the pilot line
  • Removing the thermocouple
  • Removing locknuts that hold the control on the bracket
  • Inserting new control and reattaching removed components
